Seller’s Comments

What aspects of the home’s room layout works particularly well for you:
Although it’s a studio it’s incredibly functional with separate spaces for cooking, living and sleeping. There’s a huge balcony and a storage unit for extra storage.

I love the kitchen because:
There is surprisingly a lot of storage and prep room compared to other downtown condos. The high ceilings allow for extra storage space above the cabinets. The island adds a ton of prep and storage space. The cabinets are soft close and really good quality so are very durable and easy to clean.

We have done these improvements which are bound to be appreciated:
Custom island to allow enough room for storage as well as room to sit at and is on casters so that it can be moved out of the way for cleaning or moving furniture items in and out. I could also move it to have enough space for home workouts.

What are some of the changes you’ve seen over the years?
Lots of new development both on Charles St as well as around the Bloor Yonge intersection has finished or is finishing very soon with promises of improving the area. Plans for new stores to be opening up in the neighbourhood including Arc Teryx, Lululemon flagship store and redevelopment to Bloor Yonge subway station (Bloor Yonge Capacity Improvement Project).

Best way to use public transit from here and how far is it away:
2min walk to the entrance to Bloor Yonge subway station with access to lines 1 and 2. 10min walk to museum station for quicker access to the university side of line 1.

Your favourite neighbourhood walk (parks, etc):
Depends what I’m doing… Yorkville is lovely to grab a coffee and a pastry from Eataly or Pusateris or another local shop and sit on the patio. There are seasonal events there like light shows at Christmas time and occasional outdoor concerts. When I go for a run I run to the down Mt Pleasant to David Balfour Park where there’s a creek and trails. For park activities/sports and beautiful fall leaves, Queens Park is a quick walk or Ramsden park isn’t too far and has lots of tennis courts.

Your neighbourhood shops:
All the luxury brands (Chanel, Hermes, Louis Vuitton, Gucci, Balenciaga, Dior, etc), Holt Renfrew, Eataly, Pusateris, Kith, Canadian Tire, Winners, Artizia, Fresco is a 10min walk for cheap groceries, Independent City Market and Longos are 2-5mins walk.

Your favourite restaurants, coffee shops etc:
Michelin Star restaurants in Yorkville (Aburi Hana, Alobar, Enigma, Sushi Masaki Saito) as well as many on the Bib Gourmet Michelin recommended list. More casual spots/pub style restaurants a short walk away in the Church Wellesley Village. Piedmont Coffee Bar is excellent and right around the corner, hot black coffee down the street, church espresso bar, Craigs Cookies. There are tons of bubble tea places in the area and any kind of takeout you could want.

Any other special details or hints that you would like to share:
I could honestly talk about the unit and the neighbourhood for forever.
The condo is a Luxury building designed by Hermes and with furniture from Hermes. All the appliances are European (Blomberg) and most of the stuff has been imported. The fixtures and finishes are all premium. The kitchen is Scavolini. The bathroom sink fixture alone costs $1200. The amenities include an outdoor salt water pool which is lovely in the summer. The building also has a games room (foosball, ping pong), billiards room, party room, gym, outdoor BBQs. There is public parking on P1 and tons of bike parking down there as well.
